One of my New Years resolutions was to challenge myself in my photography and to do some shoots just for me. So I have had this shoot in my head for quite some time, it was just a matter of finding the perfect model, and location. Luckily for me, I have a very supporting husband who will let me take off to the beach for the day to chase my dream.
I love working with families and children, but these shoots can be somewhat limiting depending on the age of the children. Toddlers aren’t a big fan of being told to hold a pose! So this was so much fun for me, and completely different from what I normally shoot.
The light was beautiful, and the wind although annoying for the model, really made the pictures. I was so glad I went out and did this. It was so good to get my creative juices flowing, and to challenge myself.
Note to self: do more shoots just because!
